Begin with the product

Packaging decisions should follow what is inside.

Apparel packaging should protect the fold, control parcel volume and arrive easy to open. The presentation layer can include tissue, cards and branding, but the outer construction still has to tolerate compression, abrasion and normal carrier handling.

PACKAVELLE develops made-to-order packaging from a written specification and approved sample. Dimensions, materials, print, inserts, packing method and delivery destination are confirmed for each project rather than assumed from an image.

Three useful starting points

Products to compare

These designs are starting references. Dimensions, colors, inserts and branding are developed around your product.

Before sampling

Resolve the specification in the right order.

  1. Define the folded product dimensions rather than the garment’s flat dimensions.
  2. Choose whether returns, tear strips, reseal features or tamper evidence are needed.
  3. Compare packed volume as well as unit cost when selecting an assembled or fold-flat structure.

Surface and brand expression

Inside printing can create a branded reveal without adding loose components. Exterior inks and laminations should be evaluated for rubbing and label adhesion. Keep barcodes and shipping labels on predictable, flat surfaces.

Fit, handling and delivery risk

Oversized mailers allow movement and increase dimensional weight; undersized mailers crush the fold and strain closures. Test the heaviest product combination and confirm how carrier labels will be applied.

Answers for apparel & e-commerce buyers

Which PACKAVELLE design is suitable for folded apparel?

PACK34 is a low-profile corrugated mailer concept for folded apparel and accessories. PACK06 provides another clean mailer direction, while a rigid box may suit premium sets that travel inside a separate shipping carton.

Can the mailer include a tear strip or fitted insert?

Selected structures can be developed with an easy-open feature, insert or internal retention. The feasibility depends on board grade, dimensions, packing method and whether a return-friendly closure is required.
