A paper bag should be sized around the boxed product, expected carrying weight and presentation at handover. Paper grade, reinforcement, handle construction and bottom board all contribute to performance; appearance alone is not a complete specification.

Before sampling
Resolve the specification in the right order.
- Provide the largest packed item dimensions and realistic total carrying weight.
- Choose handle style, length and reinforcement based on how the bag will be carried.
- Confirm whether the bag must coordinate with a box, tissue or event artwork.
Surface and brand expression
Spot color printing, foil and selected laminations can be evaluated against the chosen paper. Kraft and white papers reproduce color differently, so brand colors should be approved on a relevant material sample.
Fit, handling and delivery risk
A bag that is too shallow can expose or tilt the contents, while an oversized bag increases material and reduces stability. Heavy gifts need appropriate handle anchoring and base reinforcement. Carry testing should use the intended load.
