Start a Lid & Base Boxes Project

Define the lid fit and product support

For a two-piece box, confirm the contents, internal size, desired lid depth and how easily the lid should lift. A fitted insert can control movement, while the correct overlap and board tolerance keep the base secure without creating excessive suction.

Order planning

PACKAVELLE accepts lid-and-base projects from 200 pieces. Samples normally require 2–3 days after specifications are fixed, and production normally requires 7–15 days after the sample and artwork are approved. Unusual depths, inserts or finishes may extend that schedule.

Describe the box and its contents, arrange a factory appointment, or review the available material test reports. Report scope must be checked for the actual material and market selected.

Balance lid fit with easy opening

Provide product dimensions, total weight, insert layout and the desired reveal between lid and base. A deep or tight lid can feel secure but may be difficult to remove; a loose lid can lift during handling. Review board, wrap thickness, corner finish and clearances together. Test the completed sample with the intended product rather than approving the empty shell alone. Decide whether the lid should lift slowly for presentation or release quickly for retail packing, and test it after the box has travelled in a master carton. If several products share the structure, verify the heaviest and tallest configurations and document the approved internal dimensions for each insert.

For a comparable quotation, include quantity by version, artwork status, finish, individual packing, destination and required arrival date. PACKAVELLE starts custom projects at 200 pieces. Sampling typically takes 2–3 days after the specification is confirmed, followed by approximately 7–15 days for production after approval; special materials or hardware receive a project-specific schedule.
