Start a Drawer Boxes Project

Check the drawer action before final artwork

A sleeve-and-tray box needs enough clearance to slide smoothly without feeling loose. Share the product size, insert plan, preferred opening direction and pull style so the thumb notch, ribbon tab and artwork remain aligned in use.

Quantity and timing

Custom drawer-box orders start at 200 pieces. After the dieline, size and artwork are agreed, a sample commonly takes 2–3 days. Production is generally 7–15 days after sample approval, with shipping quoted according to the destination and packing method.

Send those details through the quotation form. Buyers can also schedule an on-site meeting; requests for test documentation are reviewed against the chosen paper, board, print and intended application.

Choose a pull action that suits the product

A drawer should open smoothly without sliding out unexpectedly or binding under the product’s weight. Provide internal dimensions, item weight and the intended opening direction. Discuss ribbon pull, thumb notch or another access detail, then test the tray with the complete insert and contents. Clearance that feels correct in an empty sample may change once paper wrap, lining and product weight are added. Also check where the ribbon or notch sits when the box is displayed, how the tray is prevented from falling out, and whether repeated opening marks the wrap. Record the approved clearance and insert position on the drawing so the production reference is more precise than “same sliding feel.” Ask how the completed boxes are protected inside the export carton, because pressure on the sleeve can change the drawer action after transit. Keep one approved packed sample for comparison.

For a comparable quotation, include quantity by version, artwork status, finish, individual packing, destination and required arrival date. PACKAVELLE starts custom projects at 200 pieces. Sampling typically takes 2–3 days after the specification is confirmed, followed by approximately 7–15 days for production after approval; special materials or hardware receive a project-specific schedule.
